Thursday 19 September 2013

Corporate partner

Jonathan Leigh-Hunt led the MH team in advising leading broadcast hire facilities business Procam Television on its acquisition of the assets and business of Hammerhead Television Facilities, one of the leading operators in the Scottish broadcast hire market.

The acquisition was Procam’s first bolt-on acquisition since an MBO in May this year, which MH also advised on, backed by Foresight Group, NatWest and RBS Invoice Finance.

Headquartered in London, with additional facilities in Manchester, Procam has been providing camera equipment and crew to many of the biggest broadcasters, production companies and blue chip organisations throughout the UK and internationally for over 20 years. The company has supported many of the UK’s best loved shows, including Made in Chelsea, ITV’s Splash, BBC2′s The Great British Sewing Bee, Derren Brown and The Great British Bake Off.

This acquisition strengthens Procam’s operations in London and Manchester, while allowing the company to expand into Scotland through Hammerhead’s operations in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Hammerhead is a well-established company and has provided crew and equipment to several popular shows including The Secret Millionaire, Britain’s Next Top Model and Dragon’s Den.

Jonathan Leigh-Hunt was assisted by David Strong and Frances Spooner (Corporate Associates), Mark Lavers (Property) and Bob Cordran (Employment).
